Diabolic Dreams

There’s a darkness inside me that sleeps,
the Abyss of Evil giving me the creeps.

Unnatural dreams with changing hue,
Black and blood swirling in watery blue.

Breath sucked out; I’ve run out of air,
gasping for life with a ghostly stare.
Screams blocked out by rotten arms,
I’m surrounded by Zombies ready to harm.

Warning flashes inside the flickering soul,
terrorized by shadows haunting the walls.
Remaining life fades when i hear the clicks,
and find myself staring at eight-legged freaks.
Bones get crushed under pincers and jaws,
and flesh torn off by demonic claws.
Blood flows like an unstoppable stream,
flooding away my world in the dream.

I find myself pushed off a cliff,
or pulled into the water when i go for a Dip.
Falling and rolling down infinite stairs,
I wake up with cold sweat drenching my hair.

But soon my conscious gets rid of all this,
and I go back to sleeping, all in one piece.
Suddenly my throat is locked in a death grip,
and in seconds, my body falls all stiff.

A scream and a nightmare ends,

Eyelids open to infinite darkness.

The first look down the invisible bed,

All that’s visible is black, unexplained.

All logic becomes wingdings,

Mind starts to go senile.

Vision starts getting hazy,

And the throat tastes bile.

Feels the darkness closing in,

Consuming all that’s left of him.

Fear takes over, not of the surroundings,

But fear of what is there within.

The consciousness keeps shuffling,

Between the abyss within and the darkness without,

Not able to choose which is better,

Not able to think, not able to shout.

Perhaps this is the cruel end of him,

This is how he was supposed to go.

No supports to grasp, no lifelines,

Nothing left for him but sorrow.

Then At last the dread kicks in,

Mind asks morphine, nerves ask nicotine.

As soon as the acrid smoke hits his lungs,

The stupor breaks and the darkness is gone.

Lonely Nights

I lie beneath the starry skies,
The twinkling light reflected in my eyes.
My heart skips a beat,
When The starlight brings memories sweet.
I search you near and find you far,
The pain feels like that of a deep fresh scar.
I search for the old you,
But find you anew,
Your smile’s the same,
Forever lovely and true..
I try to hold you but feel the breeze,
Running between my fingers,
cool and with ease.
I find my heart skipped another beat,
When i remember your eyes, dark and sweet.
I fall asleep on the grass, calm and at peace,
Knowing that I’ll meet you surely in my dreams.
